First meeting as the "Friends of Fukushima" is held in Japantown.
Outreach begins.





3.17.2013
2013 Friends of Fukushima "Noodles for Nippon" event is held.
Estimated 350 people walk through doors that day.

First of funds sent to Horikawa Aiseien via U.S. Postal Money Order.
All construction on new homes for Horikawa Aiseien are completed.




4.4.2013
Additional donations by those unable to attend, but wishing to support, continue to pour in.
Total funds raised - $5,311




6.7.2013
As a result of their NINJA (Now In Need of Japan Aid) t-shirt sales, Abraham Lincoln High School's Japanese Culture Club makes a donation of $658.54 to the Horikawa Aiseien Children's Home.
Total funds raised - $5,969.54




8.28.2013
Last of donations for 2013 are sent to Horikawa Aiseien, along with a photo and message book from Friends of Fukushima members and volunteers.




3.9.2014
2014 "Noodles for Nippon" fundraiser held with the support of the local community.

As a result of their 3.11 Earthquake lesson, a few students from Abraham Lincoln High School's Japanese Culture Club decide to put on a fundraiser and makes a donation of $297 to the Horikawa Aiseien Children's Home.
 Total funds raised - $12,191.27


11.6.2016
2016 "Noodles for Nippon" fundraiser held with the support of the local community,
with $3148.71 raised for the cause.
